
What does the name Pixca mean?
The word "Pixca" originates from the ancient Mayan language and refers to the word "harvest." This reflects the nature of our menu, which is designed to highlight fresh ingredients from the season.
What kind of cuisine is Pixca?
A Seasonal American Bistro with a global fusion twist. Our menu shifts with the seasons—featuring vibrant vegetables, bold salads, handmade pastas, and carefully prepared meats and seafood. Globally inspired, rooted in tradition.
Why are the seating arrangements in the restaurant so close together?
We intentionally designed our space to feel cozy, lively, and connected—like a bustling neighborhood bistro where the energy is part of the charm. The close seating helps create that inviting, communal atmosphere we love.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we are on ground level, with an accessible bathroom on the same floor.
*Please inform us in your reservation if you or your guest will bring a walker/wheelchair so we can make the proper accommodations.
Do I need to make a reservation?
While reservations are not a requirement, we strongly recommend you make one to avoid long wait times or full bookings.
Does a reservation guarantee that I will be seated right away?
No, there is still a possibility, that you will need to wait for a table depending on number of guests / reservations that day.
Do you have a seating duration policy?
Yes. To ensure timely service for all guests, we observe an allocated dining time of 90 minutes per reservation during high-peak hours and especially during the colder months, when our outdoor patio is not available. Don’t be surprised if we ask for your table to accommodate another reservation!
What is your cancelation policy?
We currently do not have a cancellation policy. However, we kindly ask that if you are unable to make your reservation, that you notify us at your earliest convenience via telephone.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options?
We are happy to accommodate dietary requirements. Please just make a note in your reservation or let us know upon arrival.
Do you have a private dining area?
We do not have a private dining area. However, we do offer restaurant buyouts for private events. Please contact rebeca@pixcarestaurant.com for more information.
Can we bring our own wine?
Of course. There is a corkage fee of $30.
We are coming to celebrate; can you organize something special?
We love to celebrate! We can put a candle on any of our desserts.
If you wish to bring your own cake, there is a fee of $30.
Do you offer delivery?

Is Pixca close to any nearby attractions or venues?
Yes! Come grab a bite before a show at Ravinia Festival or after exploring the Chicago Botanic Gardens.
